The Youth Night Market and the old county town — old Kaohsiung's soul. Fengshan is the heart of the old Kaohsiung county, its night thicker-set than downtown's. The Youth Night Market eats the whole of Wenheng Road into a sleepless street, overwhelmingly local; after dark the banyan plaza at Weiwuying becomes a public living room — strollers, street dancers and picnickers each taking a corner.
